The app
Mark is a Markdown viewer and editor for macOS published by Intro Labs. It shows your .md files the way they’d look on GitHub — tables, code, diagrams and math included — and with its Quick Look extension, you can preview them in Finder without opening the app.
It’s free: get it on the Mac App Store. You’ll need macOS 14 or later.

Frequently asked questions
How do I preview a file in Finder?
Open Mark once, select a .md file in Finder and press the space bar.
If the preview doesn’t show up, turn it on in System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Quick Look. On macOS 14 it’s in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Extensions → Quick Look.
How do I export to PDF or HTML, or print a document?
From the File menu: Export as PDF…, Export as HTML… or Print… (⌘P).
What do I need to use Mark?
A Mac running macOS 14 or later.
